A very English, French, Irish wedding...

October 4, 2019

When I met Anne Marie and Jacques I knew we were looking at a wedding with a difference.  Irish, French and English families, a groom who was afraid to admit a little bit of "geek"  and his lovely Irish bride with the most beautiful laugh and smile with a passion for books. It was a day filled with English Sunshine, A beautiful Country Garden for photos with fabulous hosts a wedding of laughte,r smiles, chat, bubby, generations old and friends old and new, we also used the grounds of St Annes Church in Sutton Bonington which to me always feels a little french. The ceremony was in the library at the Village Hall where we all ended up with fine bone china, freshly cut flowers in jars and a rendition of the brides impersonation of Kylie (age 9 if I remember it correctly)...naughty aunty for digging that one out of the cupboard.

It all started at the grooms parents house...a little bit like "along the river bank"...what a beautiful start to a gloriously sunny August Saturday.

Meanwhile at the scene of the bride...it was a hot day and dad took himself to a bit of kitchen swatting...(oh yes not very bridal) ...

The bride....and the flowergirls were really trying to get to grips with the whole (carrying of the train business!).

With the Venue just around the corner and a beautiful day, a walk seemed the easiest way to travel!

Short cut through the church grounds...To Sutton Bonington Village Hall and the village library for the ceremony...I know, I know there is a church in the background, well it was on the way.  This was the shortcut from home to venue.

Always seems very daunting that walk down the aisle even if a favourite uncle is at the other end!

I love these moments, the picture speaks a thousand words with expressions you can see it all...

Loving the details, with an order of service that resembled the famous Penguin book covers!

No words needed...

and a very proud mum and dad...

To the beautiful grounds of St Annes House next to the village hall.

Sunshing and bubbles in a beautiful English Country Garden...thanks to the team at the Hammer and Pincers for all things bubbly and yummy!

and so to photos...to all those brothers, sisters and mums...

When you've been brought up with 3 brothers you get a bit of this and...

...this...well...boys will be boys...loved this shot taken seconds after the other one.  Benefits of two photographers!

whilst the flowergirls get some serious chilling in the garden hammock...

the guests chill and chat...

and mooch about in the sunshine and shade...

We find a local celebrity to join our wedding shoot...

having been here the month before we knew our favourite places for shots...

and the sunshine and shade just added to it all...

Yes, using the youngest flower girl as a natural defence to confetti, think thats cheating Jacques!

How great does the village hall look

?

Its all in the details...

A bit of last minute revision...

Naked sponge looks just yummy and very in keeping with the wedding details

Dad nailed it to get reactions like this!

Here's to the start of thenext adventures...
