Wow, how beautiful and bright is East Leake now all the lights are on in the village? What a simply amazing afternoon and evening at our lights switch on. There was certainly so much going on with the new live nativity, duck grabbing, spelling and maths fun, food stalls and drinks stalls, the band, craft fayre, photography, choirs and stallholder activities this village certainly had a busy afternoon. So lovely to welcome Santa and his 105 err sorry 110 year old Elf. Big thanks as always to all our volunteers and helpers (there are too many to personally mention), not just East Leake Traders but those who come out in force every year to be part of such a special day in the East Leake Calendar. Well done Mel Roper for being the first to receive the newly created East Leake Community award, very well deserved for all that you get involved in with our lovely village. A thank you from the community and people of East Leake. We do know that there are many others involved in community life here in East Leake and this award means we can all be part of giving our thanks and appreciation every year to those special people that do so much on behalf of us all. It is truly grateful appreciated.
